AUBURN – A fifth Auburn analyst is leaving the program.
Former Auburn Quality Control and the Assistant Director of Player Development Wes Murphy has taken the job as offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Virginia Union.
During last season Murphy’s duties included assisting the defensive line coach Rodney Garner and other members of the coaching staff.
Before making the move to Auburn, Murphy worked under Gus Malzahn at Arkansas State. While on staff with the Red Wolves he served as assistant tight end coach, on campus recruiting coordinator and player development.
Prior to joining Arkansas State, Murphy served one season as the defensive line and assisted the offensive line coach as well as strength and conditioning coach at Fellowship Christian High School in Roswell, Ga.
Murphy joins the growing list of Auburn analysts to depart the program to take coaching jobs including Brandon Hall (Jacksonville State), Chip Lindsay (Southern Miss), Dell McGee (Georgia Southern) and Al Pogue (Troy).
