AUBURN — The game time for Auburn’s eighth game of the season has been finalized. The Tigers (7-1, 3-1 SEC) will play at Arkansas at 5 p.m. CT Nov. 2 in a game which will be televised on ESPN2, the SEC announced Sunday.
The game time was either going to be at 5 or 6, but ESPN decided to show Tennessee at Missouri instead.
Auburn routed Florida Atlantic 45-10 on Saturday but may have lost quarterback Nick Marshall in the process. Marshall injured his right shoulder early in the second quarter and did not return. Auburn coach Gus Malzahn did not have an update on the health of his starting quarterback after the game, though several players said they expected Marshall to be able to play.
The meeting with Arkansas (3-5, 0-4) is the first between Malzahn and Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema, who exchanged comments during press conferences at SEC Media Days regarding up-tempo offenses in college football. Malzahn’s hurry-up, no-huddle offense drew the ire of Bielema, who said Arkansas will play “normal American football.”
Arkansas lost 52-0 to Alabama last week and has been outscored 104-7 in its last two games. The Razorbacks were off Saturday.
