MOBILE – Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said he’ll fill the director of high school relations position held by former Carver coach Al Pogue, who left for Troy this week, after national signing day.
“We’ll wait till after signing day,” Malzahn said. “We’re real happy for Al, he’s a great person, a great coach he’ll do a very good job for them.”
Pogue served in the position this season after serving as a quality control assistant for two years. He has reportedly accepted the cornerback coach position at Troy, though the university has yet to announce his hiring.
Pogue has been unreachable forcomment, though he retweeted reports of his accepting the position.
