Tigers flip another corner from Alabama, land 19th commit from Kalvaraz Bessent

AUBURN – The Tigers have flipped another corner from Alabama. Four-star cornerback prospect Kalvaraz Bessent switched his commitment on Monday, becoming the 19th commitment to Auburn’s 2014 recruiting class.

“Ayee I am officially going to Aurburn (sic) now War Eagle!!!!,” Bessent tweeted Monday afternoon.

The 6-foot 170-pound prospect had 34 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups at Camden County (Kingland, Ga.).

He joins Opelika’s Stephen Roberts, who also recently flipped from Alabama to Auburn and is expected to play safety.

Auburn’s class is ranked No. 8 by 247Sports and Rivals and No. 10 by Scout.

Auburn will lose corner Chris Davis Jr. and safeties Jermaine Whitehead, Ryan White and Ryan Smith to graduation following the season and has Jonathon Mincy, Jonathan Jones and Josh Holsey among those returning to the secondary.
